Time is flying by!!

I haven't posted in forever once again, I must apologize!  Extra time is not something I've had a lot of these days!  Work is, well honestly, it sucks... I'm starting to hate my job.  Not to say that I don't like what I'm doing, I LOVE helping people.

Enough of that!  Travis is now out on the road and this is his first week on a shift.. needless to say it's been an adjustment, more on my part I'm sure.  I'm used to having him home for the most part when I'm home.  Yes I'm sure I sound like a huge baby!  But.. I don't care!  I love my husband, and love spending time with him, so yes I miss him a lot!!  But this was a great opportunity for him!! I'm glad the opportunity presented itself to make him happy!!  :o)  He starts the academy in April and graduates in July.  Sam got a couple days with daddy this week since he was off during the week.  I know he loved that!

Wednesday morning he got to cuddle a little with daddy and Mia.. then he wanted to crawl all over the bed!  LOL  He's a mover!!  He is still not crawling, crawling... but he's army crawling everywhere!!  He kept daddy on his toes yesterday!

The other weekend I caught him crawling up to the TV to watch.

Sam had the flu a few weeks ago.. that was tough!  He wasn't horrible to deal with or anything, just not his happy smiley self.  You could tell he didn't feel good.  After about 5 days he started feeling better.  He was back to laughing and finally drooling!!  I never thought I would miss drool, but when he's not taking in much for liquids there's not much left to produce extra!  He's eating a ton now.  We took him in for his 6 month appointment after the bout of flu.. he was 16 lbs 15 oz and 26 1/2 in long.  I'm guessing he would have been close to 18 lbs before not eating for 3 days.  He's doing great and did fine with shots!  No more shots till one year!

Sam has been sucking his thumb now for about an month.  I barely even bother with giving him a pacifier.  I suppose this saves me from having to later break the paci habit.. but how do you take away a thumb??  LOL  I guess we will try reasoning as he gets older if he doesn't break himself of the habit.. for now though, I must admit, it's adorable :o)

I think this is one of the last times I actually got him to take his pacifier, I can kind of sneak it in when he is laying down for a nap, but he's been doing pretty well putting himself to sleep with his thumb.  He sleeps on his tummy now at night.
